I have watched all 3 on youtube and boy they look intense. I am okay on Star Tours at WDW but do have a bad back/hip that can flare up. Are these three rides pretty intense or is it just visually looking intense but the actually moving/jarring isn't so bad? thanks!

Star Tours is rough on my back.At of the three the worst imo is Jimmy Neutron. But they do have stationary seats for that. The other two have rough moments but if you can handle Star Tours then you wont have A problem..

thanks donald! I canonly handle front row of star tours - fyi row 5 is extreme on star tours and to be avoided if you have bad back. What about Shrek or Terminator? I have never been to US and DD11 is so excited. DH cando it all with her but I hate tomiss ALLL the fun so if you wouldn't mind offering your opinion on these two rides I would appreciate it!thanks

IMHO, Shrek and Jimmy Neutron are the worst of the bunch if you suffer from a bad back. Ask for the stationary seats. Simpsons and Spiderman are a little intense, but you should be fine. Same with Terminator. Have fun!

The front row of jimmy Neutron is stationary, ask for that if you fear for your back. Spiderman is more intense visually and The Simpsons is the roughest of the three. That said, if you can handle star Tours you can handle The Simpsons.

Ok just so I have this straight. Jimmy has stationary seat (front row). Love that. Shrek has stationary seat too? If so what row. Simpsons questionable for me, I think I will avoid. Spiderman and Terminator no such thing as stationary but should be ok. Anyone avoid spiderman or Terminator b/c of bad back? thanks!

Shrek & Jimmy Neutron have stationary seating in the front row.

Terminator's seat movement is minimal, and only happens in a few scenes.

Simpsons shakes you up from the word go.

Spider-Man does move, but it's more spinny than jarry.

My ds (8) and my dh have ridden all of four of the rides mentioned, and both of them say they would not ride the Simpson's again because of how rough the ride was.

Like anything, it would depend on the back.
Jimmy Neutron is the roughtest in my opinion - I don't have lower back problems but my back ached after it. Simpsons has much smoother and tamer movements by comparison.

I have bad back and neck problems and the only one that causes me problems is jimmy neutron cause of movement but what really does me in is the chicken dance cause I can't move too well after that and my day is done after that

super guys! thanks so much. I got it now. Of all the ones I least was interested in was the Simpsons - good now I have an excuse that wont' let me on it for sure! I appreciate the input and so does my back!!! :) Melissa

Perhaps an attendant might just let you stand off to the side and watch the movie so you can get an idea of what the ride is about without having to sit in the simulator. Doesn't hurt to ask and it will keep you with your party.

You are not allowed to do that. At Shrek/Neutron you can look behind you if you're sitting in the stationary seat to see how the ride moves. That's it.

Just had to put my two cents in here:
I HATED the simpsons!! I almost threw up when I got off. I usually do not suffer from motion sickness either.

:lmao: I should rephrase that statement.
While it was visually stimulating, it was a little too "jerkish" for my liking. My fiancee LOVED It. I'm not sure if I was making myself anxious, or if it was really that bad....maybe I will try it again....not too sure though!!! I was literally green after riding, and like I said, I NEVER suffer from motion sickness.:confused3

I don't blame you cause I don't like the ride either and wished they would have kept BTTF and I know alot of people are going to flame one me and say it was a much rougher ride but it was alot better

My best friend from high school developed motion sickness with amusement park rides. And he's an adrenaline junkie.
But saving health issues, simpsons was well done. I heard back to the future ride was nicknamed "oh my back to the future".
