Simple Computer Question, and I don't know

We are at my in-laws house and she is having some issues with her laptop. She isn't sure what she did, but she can only pull her internet thru having it hardwired. Her wifi is working, but it won't pull the signal.

I noticed that the redlight is on with the antenna icon, and it's not the clear light. I figured she did something to turn it off, but can't figure it out. I pushed F8 and it is almost like it doesn't respond to that.

Anyone know how to enable or turn on the wifi capabilities?

She has a Toshiba, I can get more info if needed.

Check the front of the lap top on the left side. My Toshiba has a little slide button that turns on & off the wifi.

I do not see a sliding button.

It is a Toshiba Satelite L755 if that helps.

Try the FN (Funtion) key plus F8 you can turn the wifi on or off from there.

Turn everything off and turn it back on. (the laptop and the wireless router.)

This fixes more IT problems than most people imagine.
