i leave to go to heaven on the 26th october,what chance have i got of getting the simon bible before i leave,anyone got any ideas,has anyone got an advance copy they will sell

I ordered mine from Amazon quite some time ago. On looking at the order status it is still quoting estimated delivery of 4th 5th October!!! I think they have got that one wrong!!

We are travelling November 3rd so I am hoping!

I think it may be touch and go to get the new edition before the end of the month, to be honest. I think the main supplies are on their way to the bookshops, but it will be a question of how efficient they are at getting the new supplies on the shelves, even if they get them in time. I would keep an eye on Amazon to see if they show imminent availability, and also haunt your local WH Smith's for any news. But I would have to say Oct 26 may just be a week or so too soon.

Just got an email from Amazon - they say it will be 3-5 weeks before I get my copy!

Mine was too till I emailed them asking them why I hadn't got it yet. They replied saying they would look into it, and giving me a £3 voucher by way of an apology. The I got the email saying 3-5 weeks.

We went shopping for the new book at the weekend and wandered why we couldn't get it anywhere. Can't wait to get reading it though The 2004 one was great

Hi again everyone. I have just been told by the publisher that the main supplies of the new edition will not be arriving in this country until October 25th, which means it is unlikely they will be on shelves anywhere until the following week, I'm afraid. Unfortunately, for anyone leaving in late October, I can't see any way you will be able to get a copy before you go. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I figured it was better to let you know than have you hanging on in false hope.
