I rather liked Simon.

He was the main reason I watched Idol. I enjoyed his snarky comments during the auditions.

I love Simon. I liked Paula too, even though she was kind of annoying. I don't know how this year is gonna be with Ellen, & especially next season how it's going to be with out Simon.

He's snarky and sometimes rude, but he's truthful.

I'm so upset. I've enjoyed Idol less and less and watched fewer and fewer episodes with each year recently.

I loved Simon. Yes, he could be a jerk, but he was the one who gave the most honest comments and really gave constructive criticisms (if he felt they could actually be good ) He also provided the comedy...

The only thing I totally hated about him was his comments about people's appearance/weight.

In that charming British accent- "I don't mean to be rude, but..." sure. You totally do. Love him.

I heard he's making an American version of the X Factor. It's like American Idol, but it's open to any age, and also groups. So I think people will watch that instead of Idol, and Idol will just disappear.

This is true. He'll be a judge as well so I'll be watching. I will watch American Idol until it goes off the air but the X Factor has Simon so I will watch.

I love Simon. He can be mean but that is what I love about him.

AI will go down hill after this year. Paula left this year and Simon leaving next year? It will kill it. And then they bring Ellen on the show? i cant really see her in a musical point of view. dont know how well this will go.... guess we will find out tonight.

Randy: Gives a good musical opinion, and knows what he says. Is honest, but in a nice way.

Ellen: Will be the funny factor, but I would be shocked to see her say a bad thing about anyone...ever.

THANK GOD! After Simon leaves, this show will be DEAD. This show needed to die about 3 years ago. It's sooooooo past it's time.

I never really watched AI.

I think I stopped watching the actual show about 5 or 6 years ago.

For me, there's really only the auditons that are even slightly entertaining, and then I just stop watching.

I think without Simon gone, it's going to be one of those shows that's still on the air, but you never hear about. It's gonna slowly slide down the ladder of TV oblivion.
