simon giftcard frustration

first i waited 4 days for my virtual email to arrive which came only after i called the technical assistance line - which is closed on the weekends which only added to the frustration

now today i receive the card information and try to use it for two offers on CD and each one was denied - called technical assistance but at 4:50 EST it was already closed

i'm beginning to think this may not be worth the time and effort spent trying to "make a buck"

The same thing happened to me a few months ago I ordered my card on friday and didn't realize they were closed on the weekend to make matters worse the following monday was a holiday so I had to wait until Tuesday. I really wanted to do some offers as well.

One of the things about prepaid cards is some trials will not take them as a payment method. Especially with the great amount of fraud going on more and more companies are putting a block on the prepaid cards. I am afraid we will just see the number increase in the future.

It's not simons fault there is nothing they can do. There will be a offers you will not be able to use your prepaid card with and if you really want to do the offer you will have to use a real credit card.

It's frustrating though I understand! This has happened to all of us.

I bought mine at the Simon mall customer service. I registered it online and was able to use it immediately. Maybe the actual card is different than the virtual one?
As far as offers, I have only come across a couple that wouldn't accept it. But overall I have had great success with mine.
If you are having trouble maybe you might want to look into obopay? I have never used it but I have heard many that have been very happy with it.
