Sure. It's American Idol not "The Simon Cowell Hour". I hope they get someone just us "honest" to fill his seat. I will watch X-Factor too if they bring it to the US.

That being said, I don't watch AI for Simon, I watch for the contestants. Although I do think he has an excellent ear for music. He might be tactless, but he's usually right.

For starters, I will believe it when I see it.

Second, I not a fan of the show so it doesn't matter to me who is hosting. I like to watch some of the auditions and maybe a few of the singers just to see what the buzz is sometimes.

Constantine was on my morning news program and made a comment that Simon may not be around next year and this could be the last year for the show. Since it was Fox news NY they all looked at him like what do you know!

The show can't survive (long term) without Simon. They can do 1 or 2 seasons without him but that's it. I don't like Simon by the way because he doesn't know music or what makes a good performer. He especially doesn't know rock music. He even admitted that he didn't know any of Heart's music. Heart was a rock staple of 1970s and 1980s.
