I asked this question on another thread, but thought I'd get more replies this way. Could anyone whose child/ren have stayed here give me some info on it. What is it like, what do they do, etc.... Is it like the neverland club, not the themeing obviously, but in general. DS is going to stay at Simba's one night while DH and I celebrate my B-day, but we are trying to decide which one he'd like better, Simba's ( which is at our resort) or the Neverland Club.

Thanks for any info!!!

My kids have stayed at simbas, and at several others.. it is basically teh same they have some arcade games, a tv area with games and some tables.. My boys LOVED it they played ARcade games most of teh night. dinner is teh same as the others a choice of several things. its a great deal because dinner is included. The only prob we had was they were tired when we picked them up and it was a LONGGGGG walk from teh club house to our room....I would not hesitate to use the one that is at the hotel you are staying at much more conveinant.

Thank You!! We have planned on Simba's, but I just wanted to make sure he'd prefer it!! My older boys, who are now in college :earseek: ......... way way back when they were little stayed at the Neverland club, and they loved it. I"ve seen recent pics of the neverland club, and the theming is awesome, which is why we were considering it, I know my DS would enjoy it. I was just wondering if Simba's had any type of theming. I'm pretty sure he'll stay at Simba's though, since you are right about the convenience of it.
Just wondering, does anyone have any pics of Simba's inside??

Thanks a lot!!

My DDs went and I'm not sure how old your DS is but my DDs thought that it was a little boring. And said that they think that the Neverland club would be more fun. They don't really have any activities there, maybe if they were younger they would have enjoyed it better. I'm sure your son will have fun.
My DDs said that it was fun, but that maybe they were just too old.

Thank You, our DS just turned 6. That's what I was wondering about. I know at the Neverland club they have a lot for kids to do. Tell your DD's I appreciate any help they could give me!!! ;)

I just want him to have a good time while there, and not be too bored.

MY DD8 has done both - and when given the choice for this year picked Neverland Club. It just seems bigger, better themed, and more to do. Simba's is very, very nice - but Neverland is great!

:wizard:

My daughter has attended several of the Kids Clubs. She likes 'em all, especially Simba's Cubhouse. I have a couple of photos of Simba's in an old on-line photo album of mine: click here. If I can find my more recent photos, I'll put them in that album.

What kind of food do they serve them for dinner? Just wondering if it's something we may want to do when we stay one time.

Ok nevermind, they serve PB AHHHHHH Someplace we couldn't leave DS at if we decide to do something adultish during our stay. :confused3

Do you need to stay AKL to use Simbas Clubhouse or POLY to use Neverland?

Each of the Kids Clubs has their own dinner menu. For the most part, you can expect to find the bulk of the following items on those menus: chicken tenders, macaroni & cheese, pizza, peanut butter & jelly sandwich, hamburger/cheeseburger, grilled cheese sandwich, hot dogs, french fries, potato chips, apples, bananas, and grapes. When you drop your child off at the club, you will be given a menu and asked to select a meal & drink for your child.

You do not need to be a guest of a resort in order to use its Kids Club. Most of the clubs request advance booking so please plan accordingly.

Janet, Thanks for the pictures....... boy, the "theming" sure is "lacking" compared to the Neverland Club......... :(

I'm still trying to decide which one to choose........... Simba's is my first choice since we are staying at AKL, but........ I would like for it to be an "experience" for him also. I'm just partial to the neverland club. See what happens when you have too many choices to make........... LOL!!!

Anyway, I appreciate the pics.

Simba's is much nicer than my photos show. But none of the Kids Clubs can compare to the Never Land Club, that is true (it is the only one that is themed to the Nth degree). But that shouldn't stop you from trying the other Kids Clubs. My daughter has had fun in all of them. She has found that it's the Cast Members who have made her visits what they were -- more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Does anyone know if they would take PB off the menu for a night if they had a child servrely allergic to it staying in the club? I think DS would love this but he can't be where kids are eating PB and then touching everything afterwards as he has reacted to residue.
