Silver Sweepstakes question

So I was reading the rules on entry for sweepstakes for the trip giveaways. The rules say you must be a DVC member before January 4, 2016 to enter. I closed on my contract on 12/30/15 and the deed was recorded on 1/4/16. What are the chances I'll be able to enter (not that I think I'll win anything lol)? I will ask member services when I get my number but just curious as to what the official date of membership actually is.

I also read that if you're Canadian, you have to take a math quiz to receive your prize. How could they do something like that? It almost seemed like a joke to see if people are actually reading the rules.

I think they're rules against gambling. You cannot win a price based on pure luck.

It's a law for Canada, or at least some locations if not the whole country. Can't be a game of chance, had to be a skill test. As I understand though they can do something as simple as 2+2

You are right. Sometimes the math question is even right on the sweepstakes ticket. It is always something really easy like you mentioned. It is always a single question, not an actual quiz.
