silver springs

hi guys were thinking of going to silver springs on presidents weekend to avoid the crowds at the disney parks what is silver springs like is it worth the trip and would our ds 12 and dd 7 enjoy the park we would welcome any info

Hello Shingle,

Silver Springs is an "old Florida" type amusement park. There are a couple of glass bottom boat rides on the river and there are some zoo type exhibits. There aren't any rides to speak of though. If you like road side type attractions, this would be worth a visit, but if not I would find something to do in Orlando. Let me know if you have any other questions.

We loved Silver Springs!! It was me my DH, and 12 year old DS. They had glass bottom boat rides, a jungle safari ride, a scenic boat ride that took you to see endangered animals...
The grounds and animals were great.

It's not Disney by any means but it was a lovely day well spent!
