Silver Springs?

I was just wanting some opinions on Silver Springs. We have always kind of wanted to stop off there on the way to WDW and we are thinking about trying to do that on our next trip. Has anybody been lately? What's it like? If we do decide to go, how long should we plan to spend there?

We went several years ago. We thought it was nice for
a change of pace but I wouldn't go out of my way to
see it.

We went in 1995 and for a quieter day out it was really good.

It's probably been up-dated quite a bit since we were there.

There are a few things to see and do and it was quite interesting. There were no rides, except a boat trip and jeep safari, when we were there. It's a pretty place.

Just don't expect anything along the lines of the major attractions in Orlando.

It's a nice 3/4 day, seeing & doing everything at a comfortable pace. The kids will love feeding the giraffes.
