I have a 9yr old DS who eats as much as my 2 DteenageSs. We have a silver plan. Can my
9yr DS order off the adult menu or is he stuck with the childs menu?

He can order adult meals. Your wishes are banked on your hotel card/key. It just keeps a running total. It does not distinguish between kids and adult wishes.

The official answer is no, he may not order off the adult menu. According to the Silver Plan brochure, children age 3-9 must order off the children's menu.

Wow, that doesn't seem fair since to add on the Silver Plan the cost for children is the same as the adults.

That's not true:

Silver - $67 Adult/$54 Child per night

Gold - $139 Adult/$94 Child per night

I talked w/WDW and they confirmed what BethC wrote no but...you can pay the difference between an adult and child's meal. I'm not sure what we will do. I know with my older 2 this will be well worth it plus I love the ease of knowing it's already paid for. But for the other DS.....hmmm

Does anyone know about some of the other items:Sovenir T-shirt, trading pin kit, timepiece
enamel box?

That's nonsense about the silver plan. We used the silver plan last summer with 2 adults and 2 children. We were advised by more than 1 server, to pay cash for the children then use their wishes for adult meals. We would have never thought to even consider doing that if a CM did assure us it was okay.

By the way, another item were the legacy tiles!

The total wishes per party I assume is what they actually go by. Correct?
So if we have 30 wishes it's 30 wishes that can be used anyway we see fit w/the plan. Correct?
But if we use it for our 9 yr.old to eat he can only order off the kids menu. Correct? His
wishes are lumped into our party's total. Correct?

Has anyone used wishes for other things besides food, cirque and golf? My son also collects pins. This may be a better use for his wish. Any thoughts?

(I'm having trouble with typing on this board. The letters don't appear as fast as my typing and I have to double check everything. UGH!!)

Like I said, we only used a handful of wishes for the kids meals. We usually paid cash for their meals because they were only$5-$7. We used the extra wishes for adult meals and for legacy tiles.

We used the silver plan and we really pigged out at the Rainforest Cafe in the AK. They allowed my DD6 to get an icey drink, an appetizer (we ordered and ate the shrimp coctail), and then she got an adult crab leg dinner and a desert. We also got the best value for our silver buck there too. If you're on the silver plan, I'd recommend you go there at least once. We used our silver wish for the lobster dinner. We could have added a steak for no additional charge.
At most of the other places, they required my daughter to eat off the kids menu, so we paid cash for her at those places.
