Silver Pass at SeaWorld - promotion expires 10/31

I wrote to Sea World to inquire about when the 24 months starts on the Silver Pass....when I purchse it or when I first redeem it. Since we aren't going until December I didn't want to purchase it NOW if the clock would start ticking in September instead of starting in December.

I'm really glad I wrote and asked.....here's the response I received:

Thank you for your interest in SeaWorld San Diego. The Buy a Year Get a Year silver membership promotion will expire on October 31, 2010 and needs to be purchased prior to the expiration date. The pass doesn't need to be redeemed until you are ready to use your silver membership. Once redeemed your membership will start its 24 month time frame.

is this just for san diego only? If you buy in san diego and then travel to orlando, can you use it there?

If you want to be able to use the pass at any park, you'd need a Platinum Pass. The Silver Pass only offers free admission to one park, and a 50% discount on other parks, but not all parks.
