Silver Package Question

I just called CRO to upgrade my 7+5 package to a 7+5 silver package. After everything was set and I was about to hang up the phone, the CM said "make sure you get priority seatings for your meals if that is what you plan to use your wishes for".

Just want to make sure of something - you are not REQUIRED to make PS for meals using the silver package, right? I understand its probably a good idea to make PS for more popular places, but not a requirement... correct? Is this a recent change to the silver plan?

You only have to make PS's if you want, they are not required! If you are flexible about what time you eat, then you can usually get in anywhere. Forget about meals like CRT or the Princess Breakfast though without a PS made 90 days out. Have a great time, my husband and I just did the Gold Plan for our 11 day honeymoon. We ate like kings!

we made PS for our dining plans in Aug, and I asked about us using our Silver plan for the meals. The CM said that was good to know, perhaps they note it when making the PS and you get the correct bill at the end of dinner. I suppose it's good to mention if you do make PS. If you're going at a slow time you'll be okay as long as you're flexible. I would suggest making PS's though, even if it is the morning of the meal.

We're going in the middle of July. We know from past experience that if we don't make PS's we'll spend hours waiting for tables. Considering that the wishes are practically wasted when used on counter service we should eat in sit downs two meals a day. (We'll split meals so that we have wishes for other things.) It is much easier to have a PS at the park we plan on being in and making it than to run around trying to find the restaurant with the shortest wait and then waiting for anywhere from 5 to 90 minutes.
