Hi guys!
I have a question for everyone. I am trying to design my wedding cake with a hint of Disney involved (as this is where we'll be honeymooning :)) and I simply can't figure it out...
What are the little silver mickey heads that you see on so many cakes? They look like punch outs in fondant but I'm just not sure. I'd love to do this on my cake but I need some guidance!
Thanks for your help!!

I believe they are done by stamps, and edible powder. Kinda like a rubber scrap booking stamp and ink. Or a wax seal stamp, actually more like a wax seal stamp as the shape is pronounced.

It's on a video or in a photo somewhere I had seen it done too, but couldn't remember which lol guess it was YouTube :)

We had our wedding at Disney last October and I wanted to incorporate disney into our cake without being over the top. We had them place "hidden mickey heads" on the the three tiers. We had them done in silver. I didn't know how I was going to like them but they looked really cute and elegant. It was done free handed because they did a swirl head instead of just a standard mickey head.
