So...unfortunately, Thanksgiving weekend my husband left. Yes, it was that sudden and shocking...needless to say it's been a rough holiday season. We had a big trip planned to DL for my 40th over April vacation....of course I canceled it all. Member services was wonderful helping me deal with the canceled trip. Well, as of today I have something to look forward to...my mom and I are taking the kids in August. 4nights at VGF and 4 at BCV, I have the airfare credit and DVC so now I am not dealing with too much cost. Anyway, it's just nice to have this to look forward to especially with the bumpy months I have ahead. And if any divorced DVCers have some advice on all this bring it on...no I was not blind...everyone is in as much shock as I am!

That is very sad. Hold your head up and living well is the best way to deal with it. Enjoy your trip and plan to stay busy next Thanksgiving.

I want to wish you the best of luck in the upcoming months.

In 2013, on Father's Day, I kicked DH out. We had a 9 day WDW trip planned that was to take place less in less than 4 weeks. Just like you....the kids & I brought my mother along instead.

I got the DVC in the divorce (YAY :cheer2:). For the past few months, I've been doing the paperwork to get his name off of the deed...it is almost complete. I will be relieved at that.

My advice to you is to make sure you get TONS of new vacation pics with the kids and have a wonderful time!

That certainly is SAD news. :sad2: I am VERY HAPPY for you that you have a Mom that can travel with you and your children! BCV and VGF will be WONDERFUL resorts in the summer! LOVE STORMALONG BAY!:thumbsup2
We recently stayed 2 nights at VGF and LOVED IT!:) I hope that 2015 brings strength, peace, and love to your family! I hope that your extended family will provide emotional support for you during this very difficult time!:grouphug::grouphug:

Thank you for the support! It is amazing what having a Disney trip to look forward to can do!
