Silver Lake Resort?

We stayed at Silver Lake Resort in 2006. It was very nice. We were 4 families altogether. 3 of us ended up in building 1700 and 1 of the families ended up in 400.

We had originally booked a 1 bedroom, but when we got to the room we had a two bedroom.:confused3 That was really nice to have the extra space. In fact, all 4 families ended up with 2 bedrooms. We have no complaints with this resort. It met all of our expectations. It was clean, the pool was wonderful, and my kids loved the game room.

We did the timeshare presentation, which really wasn't too bad. We got a great rate on the room this way. It happened to be raining the morning of our tour, so it was nice to know we weren't missing any Disney time.:)

I would definitely stay there again!

Hello,
I've stayed at Silver Lake twice in the past, the most
recently was 2004. When I stayed there was only
one pool? It sounds like there are now additional pools?
I have a few questions:

Can you tell me about the present pools at Silver Lake.
Does anyone remember the prices of food items at the snack bar?
Is there any free wireless on the premises?
Is the back gate open for exiting/entering the complex?
What other things are new at Silver Lake since 2004?

Thanks......

Hi - Here is what I can tell you!!!

There are 2 pools on property. Both heated one is larger and one is a zero entry pool. Very nice and clean.

We didn't eat at the snack bar but from what I remember things looked about normal priced. we had a full kitchen in our room so we just took things with us to eat.

There is free wirless at the main pool and in the "business area"

There is a back gate but you get a pass to open the gate for safety. From the back gate you are only 1/2 mile from Disney Property. From our balcony we could see the fireworks at night and we could see Expedition Everest.

I am not sure what is new but it was really nice. Our room was newly remodeled. Granite and tile floors a very nice bed and flat screen tv's. It was really great. I enjoyed it very much.

We were suckered into it as well! I have regretted it ever since. Don't think DH has though! :( (I loved the resort but not that much)
