Silver Lake Resort questions

Hi! Long time lurker first time poster here! My family and I will be staying at Silver Lake Jan 9-16th, and I just have some questions about the resort, if anyone knows the answers...

1. What's their policy on deliveries? Like Amazon or Instacart/Publix? Will they accept them? Do we need to be present at the delivery?

2. What's the Uber/Lyft situation? I'm assuming pick up at the gate, but I don't know.

3. I've heard that what unit you get can be based on what day you check in...is that so? And if it is, does anyone know what units/buildings are assigned for Tuesday check in? We'll have two 2-bedroom units as guests through my cousins RCI (points, I believe), if that helps.

Any other tips or info that would be good to know?

Thank you all so much!

Interesting questions. We own there, so I can give a bit of guidance, if not specific answers.
1. IDK. But give the resort a call and ask. You can find the email and phone information for the resort here: http://silverlakeresort.com/contact-us/
2. It is a nice compact resort. I wouldn't be surprised if they let drivers through to your villa, perhaps with a call to security first, but if not it is a short walk to the gate from anywhere in the resort.
3. I am not aware of any specific building assignments by day of week - there are other resorts that do that in the area. Weeks owners have Friday, Saturday, or Sunday checkins, but most of the resort was sold as Silver Points with variable dates. With a Tuesday checkin, I am guessing that this is a Points trade, and perhaps a better chance that it is one of the Silver Points buildings (Buildings 800-1800). One of the easiest ways to get a rough idea is to get the unit configuration from the RCI reservation and then checking against the floorplans at http://silverlakeresort.com/unitsfloorplans/ If you have a sleeps 8 villa you will be in the 100-700 buildings (these are IMO the nicest units, older buildings, but recently refreshed and very large). Sleeps 6 should be an A or Royale, or maybe G/H.
The only building to avoid is probably the 400 building. It backs onto Sherbeth Road and noise might be an issue.

Other info:
Access to Disney is great via Sherbeth Road, especially Animal Kingdom.
Lots of restaurants and shopping along Irlo Bronson (192), unfortunately also lots of traffic. There is a very good Publix and Super Target just a bit West on 192 for stocking up on supplies.

Thanks so much! I'm not sure if it's a sleeps 8 or sleeps 6...would it say on the reservation/confirmation? I still need to get a copy of that from the actual owner, so I'm not sure.

It should say on your reservation 6/8 if it is a two bedroom that will sleep 8 or 6 privately. I love this resort and use my RCI weeks to trade in here every time I come to Disney. Staff are amazing and as a PP states the 100-700 buildings are the nicest even tho they are older buildings. Enjoy!
