Silver DVC 25th Anniversary mailing ...

Glad to hear lots of members are FINALLY getting their 25th Anniversary member cards. I got mine close to a month ago. I don't know who they hired to send these things or what system is being used, but YUK.

*****And fellow members make SURE to have your NEW card on you when you come to WDW**** They are checking and if members do not have either the new 25th Anniversary ID or the Digital download (www.disneyvacationclub.com/newcard), either printed out or a screenshot, you are NOT going to get the DVC discounts. I've been on property a couple of times since the deadline for using old cards and talked to a couple of different members that did not have online accounts and were having a heck of a time trying to connect with MS to create an account and THEN get the digital download for their I.D. Again, YUK….

Nothing. I leave the 26th. Can we not sure our old cards for awhile? Not that it really matters, I have an AP also

Our big silver envelope arrived yesterday and contained both of our cards. We're in Michigan.

We also have ours, in MI. 16 days LATE, based on "new cards next month" from the December 2015 announcement.
We're going to just shut up, and be grateful that we didn't need to launch a CC challenge over dues paid on Jan 1.

I guess we must have a post office issue (not surprised). So I don't know how long it will be before we can request a new set. Hopefully our old cards will work for our March trip (supposedly they will work until April).

We got ours yesterday in Michigan. One envelope both DH and my card.

Denise in MI

Got this envelope in the mail yet. No idea what's in it, promised the wife I wouldn't open it without her. Says "Very Important Magic enclosed" and has the 25th anniversary logo on the back.
New ID cards for both my wife and I were in there.

Really the older cards are no longer valid? Why do I find this hard to believe especially if they are only sending one card to a family and not to every person who has ownership.

We haven't gotten any new card or cards up here.

Really - I would not worry that much about old cards.... here is why:
Did you pay your 2016 dues? If so, carry a receipt. The SECOND you get a stink? Consider contacting your CC company & challenging the Yearly Dues charge.
Yup - that's a bomb run.... but when denied service for something you have paid for? NOT unreasonable.

I don't know what Disney's issue is THIS time - could be a bad third party vendor. On the other hand? I don't care. They are a business - be SURE to pay them by CC, in order to gain Federal CC law rights - no debit cards, no checks, no cash. Use your right to challenge a charge for failure to provide paid service.

Now, all of this is personal opinion - no flames please. We could be wrong. Contents may settle on Shipping. Do not eat. We HAVE our cards, and are just grateful that we don't need to raise a stink:).

HOWEVER - Dec 15th Newsletter: "New cards will arrive NEXT MONTH". That would be JANUARY. JANUARY 15 Newsletter: "If you have not received your new cards, contact DVC" - with a dead link. We emailed... then got told to shut up and wait until March 1. And we see a LOT of folks (on multiple threads) left in the dark :(. This is NOT how one runs a responsible business.

So I ask: who gets fired? The DVC director? Newsletter writer? Someone screwed up, then CLAMMED up. Hold that person accountable, and make sure they end up in "Audio Visual", or "Special Projects".

Not likely, the database that they used just had your name as primary. Seems like another over blown expense for members and now we have to wait for the rest or the cards either to be mailed or we might have to pick them up at WDW. As long as the old cards are accepted, that is what we will use.

:earsboy: Bill
I was wondering why I only received the cards not my husband (I am the primary). So will my husband eventually get sent a card or do we have to get one when down there?

We received a card for each name on the deed of the DVC. The package arrived while we were in NOLA for Mardi Gras, so I'm not sure when exactly it arrived. It was a nice package to come home to read. :D

Got mine on Saturday, mailman appears to have folded it in half and ran it over with his truck. Cards are mutilated. Chatted with MS yesterday and they are sending me new ones.

Side note...posted when the digital cards came out that my member year was wrong, and it still shows wrong on the site. The physical card I just got shows the correct year.
