Before my father passed away, he gave me a whole box of silver coins- Silver Dollars, Coins from early 1900-1950, $2.00 bills with red ink, etc.
I am wondering if these are worth selling or should I save them for later?
I want to have them appraised, but I don't want to be 'tricked', if they are really worth something. Would they tell me the truth? :confused3 Any one have suggestions?

Around my area there are several coin places. I would take them to a couple places and see if the appraised values are similar. You can also look online to check their values.

My mom got my grandfathers coin collection and it's from similar dates as yours, what he had really isn't worth more than a few dollars over its initial value. The silver stuff you have might be worth more as scrap metal than coin but you'd have to look it up. There's a lot of good resources online when you start poking around, even just googling something like "1902 dime value" can give you a good start.
