You get the magnet following the cruise that puts you at the next level. The program started about 2 years ago. When you return from your cruise (as a Castaway Club member) you get a gift. Most times it's an art print. One of 5 commissioned for DCL.

Well, the program just started in 2014.We were on the Dream in 2011 for the inaugural year. But we never got anything then. I even looked on ebay to see if there was one but the only one posted had sold!
When did you reach Platinum? The program didn't start until 2014 (Feb). And you get the gift applicable to the cruise you just took. If you were already platinum in Feb 2014 (when the program started), you would only get the art card for any cruises taken since then.
My plan was to actually attach mine to the back of the headrest on the rear seat in my car. It's not magnetic, but I think it'll look fine. And be protected.
I guess I need to cruise a couple more times to get the next magnet.....
Really, I think you should contact the Castaway Club and tell them you didn't get it. I have read reports (well, one anyway
)that people were able to get their magnets after the time they normally should have.
When did you reach gold & silver? If it was before Feb 2014, you wouldn't have gotten one. When the program started, they just started sending whatever you qualified for from the next cruise you took onward. They did't go back.
Me either! We hit our 25th cruise back in March and thought that maybe there would be something for that but I got exactly what my friend got who just hit platinum.
I don't get it either. I'm thinking that, for those of us who were in a big gap between our cruises, when the program started they gave us whatever gift we would have gotten on that last cruise, if the program had been in effect then.
