Silly to trade these FPs?

Is it silly to trade SDMT for Wishes FP? You can pretty much watch fireworks from anywhere, right?

IMO, yes. I wouldn't trade SDMT for Wishes

We're getting in kinda late on our first day but got a free day of park tickets. I thought we'd go to the Magic Kingdom just for a Dole Whip and Wishes, maybe a few rides before close. I couldn't get a Wishes FP, but got SDMT for that evening. Now Wishes shows up as one I can change to. I'm thinking it's best to keep SDMT.

The SDMT one is the only one where Wishes shows up on the list to change.

Do you have SDMT another day during your trip? If you do, and you don't mind not riding it twice or the standby lines, I'd then consider switching. Are you staying on site or is this a 30 day window?

There will be lots of people with great Wishes viewing spots so I wouldn't say "anywhere" but you will have a much better chance at seeing Wishes without a FastPass than you will at being able to go on the coaster without a FastPass. Wishes is high above your head with music just about all around you. Seven Dwarfs is an attraction where only a certain amount of people can board a train and ride at any given time.

If the 7DMT FP overlaps with the time of Wishes, see if you can get 7DMT moved to another time. Then you should be able to replace one of your other FPs with Wishes. If you can't get another time for mine train, don't change it.
