silly ticket question

I will be skipping Toontown whatever because I will not have tickets to it.

Just in case you weren't abbreviating yourself...it's just an hour for MTTMM. Toontown is cute and has fun stuff to look around and take pictures of, and Roger Rabbit is fairly fun (though REALLY loud in the line and the ride). So don't skip toontown altogether. Just in case that's what you meant. :goodvibes

We have APs for WDW, so simply seeing characters isn't that big of a deal. Of course,as soon as I say that, DS will decide that it is important because he's never seen them at DLR.:confused3

Remember, it's only the "fab 5" type characters in there anyway. And they will be out and about elsewhere! So just in case he decides he wants to see characters all of a sudden, they will be in other places.

Have fun! And while you're staying at the villas, be sure to take advantage of Magic Mornings, where you get into Disneyland's Fantasyland and parts of Tomorrowland an hour early on (usually) the S and T days. While Extra Magic Hours at WDW have conflicting benefits, MM at Disneyland is a "must do" if you have access! And since you have access to the MMs during your stay by just being an onsite guest, do it!

...You lead people to believe you don't know what you are talking about when you can't get the acronym right (MMTM from OP)

:P

Or.... simply that they are learning about something new and made a simple error because they are new to the specific idea.

Just because someone types MMTM instead of MTTMM doesn't mean they deserve to be treated rudely.

- Dreams (who has seen people refer to things by the wrong acronyms SOOOOO many times over the past several years. CAP, anyone? :goodvibes)

I wasn't treating her rudely, I was just trying to figure out if she was talking about MTTMM or MM... It is not clear based on post #1. Infact, I'm still not sure she knows there is a difference. Shal we go over the play-by-play?

-now in post #1 the OP mentioned MMTM... everyone took that to believe that she was talking about MTTMM. I didn't think so... I think she was abtually talking about MM, because, one, she is DVC and is not elegible to MTTMM, two, tickets alone don't come with MTTMM.

Now in posts 2,3,4 and 5 people start spewing out answers pertaining to MTTMM, because they think she is talking about MTTMM rather than MM. so to clear the air I asked her in post 6 where she saw tickets with MTTMM.

in post 8 she directs me back to the DL website which we all know only offers tickets with access to MM

in post 9 I try and straighten things out

post 10 sierranevada gets it and tries to help

then in post 11 skiingfast decided that he should tell us how we should read the posts first... which we did but clearly the OP was still confised!

Well obviously that pissed me off but I was never mad at the OP... until post 15 whe decided to reiterate skiingfast's post.... then there is sonnyjane on post 16....

see where I'm coming from?

...in post 8 she directs me back to the DL website which we all know only offers tickets with access to MM...

Except of course where the DL website offers tickets with access to MTTMM

HERE

and HERE

oh, and HERE.

And not everyone knows. That's why there is the DISBoards, so people can learn. So, no, I'm sorry, I don't see what you mean. However, the OP has received the information needed, which is what is truly important. :wizard:

But she directed me HERE

Which nowhere on the page mentions MTTMM rather only MM... so you can see why I thought she was confused....

Tired of splitting hairs over this thread... :sad2:

hey so she got the acronyms mixed big deal! she got her answer though, post 2 an 3 are i think correct and dreams is right because she is always right! :)

so the op knows that she has to have a package deal to get the MTTMM tickets. AND hey i learned something also from this! the whole thing on travel packages!

ok... i went to the tickets, it said this

Ticket Types

* Disneyland Resort Park Hopper® Tickets enable you to visit both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on the same day.
* Bonus Tickets include one Magic Morning early admission to Disneyland Park.

the bolded is a clickable link on the website, but to get the magic morning it comes with a bonus ticket of 2 days or more...(AT least the ticket options gave that impression)

..and this what it said in the fine print below

To enter Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness, each Guest must have a valid 2-Day or greater Disneyland Resort Park Hopper souvenir ticket and one Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness voucher from the Walt Disney Travel Company. Entitlement available for one morning throughout the length of your ticket on Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday. Days and times of operation and all other elements including but not limited to operation of attractions, entertainment, stores and restaurants, and appearance of Characters may vary and are subject to change without notice. Subject to capacity and other restrictions.

so i think this(mm) does include the Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness..

so captain hindsights link took me to the tickets for DL, then i clicked on the blue highlighted link that said morning madness for bonus tickets, and it brought me to another page that dreams had posted in one of those links above, and i read it like this--when you get the bonus tickets with morning madness it also includes the toowntown morning madness.. did i get it wrong? cause that is how i read it and saw it

Confusing eh? The link from the park tickets website links you to the WDTC benefeits page which talks about the Magic Morning, but that is the 3rd benefeit listed. Most people stop at MTTMM benefeit which is the first one listed....

You only get the MTTMM ticket if you book a package (hotel and ticket) through the WDTC, Costco, AAA or ARES (not something the OP will be doing since she is staying on DVC points). The MM (early entry) comes with all 3 day hoppers or if you stay at an onsite hotel...

ETA....I see you ETR from your post... ;)

that is not the impression i got. i got the impression that if you have a ticket of 2 days or more that is a bonus ticket that you get the chance to enter MTTMM, other then that you only get the magic morning...the bonus tickets are not apart of a package, they can be bought online...

Okay. Time to close this thread, I think. I don't like the direction it seems to be taking, and I think the original questions were answered.

I've said it before and I will say it again - it's bad enough when one person says something that somehow offends other people. But to then call that person rude or continue to belabor the whole misunderstanding and original offense by piling on and addressing it repeatedly serves no purpose other than to create a bigger disagreement.

The best thing to do when you see a scenario like this unfolding is to report it to us or ignore it entirely. Please don't keep contributing to it, building it up and making it bigger by responding to it.

And just as a side note - ideally, yes, it would be wonderful if every person who pops into a thread reads everything and later realizes the original questions have been answered/dilemma has been solved before they give their own two cents. However, that does not always happen. Part of the nature of message boards is that people pop into threads and often only skim posts and then offer help that may no longer be needed or wanted. It happens all the time. Yes, it's frustrating at times, but it happens a lot.
