So guys...I was rewatching animated movies... I know it's silly what I'm to say, but I laugh to myself at noticing such thing.
So, in many movies, when the male character's (not the main one/leading one, but usually older guy) pants are somehow down (you know how it happens :D ) their underwear shorts (I think you english spoken people call them like this) are usually pink, red and white with dots, or hearts. Most recently I was rewatching "The sword in the stone". Merlin's shorts were pink.
I think this is very silly thing to notice, makes me wonder why they chose such colors. It rings dearly in my heart, mostly I know -- yes, Disney it is what I'm watching.
Have you noticed this? Usuall the older men are very deary, some of them chubby too. It's like some sort o pattern.

This is just a really old sight gag - the idea is that big, tough men wouldn't wear boxers with little pink hearts on them or whatever, but - oops - they are! You might see this in many cartoons from the 1940's to 1960's and maybe even later. It could have also appeared in live-action comedy like The Three Stooges, where you might see a man in the coverall-style swimsuit with a funny pattern (I can't say for sure but it was around). It is just intended to be funny - something sort of incongruous with the character who is wearing them.

Didn't know, BrianL, thanks! I figured out the wanted impression/impact on the viewer. It just makes these old men more adorable.

As I remember Belle's father wore too, and the king from Cinderella/or was it the sultan from Aladdin (maybe it wasn't the sultan but that douche of a prince). Can't recall right now, but I know I've seen it numerous times! Oh dear. :D

Yeah, it's a common joke. I take it you are not American so it may not be as common in other parts of the world. Where are you from?

I am from North Macedonia, formerly Macedonia. We are neighboring with Greece, Bulgaria, Albania and Serbia.

Cool. I remember reading about the name change here because of the Greek region vs. your country. I have to admit, I'm not too familliar with that part of the world.

I see in your signature that you want to visit Disneyland someday - is that the one in California or WDW? I love the parks - I've been to Florida the most, but also Disneyland and Tokyo Disney as well. It's too bad travel isn't really an option right now.

May I respond in private conservation? To not be offtopic, I don't know the rules yet. I would love to tell you!
