We just had a seller accept our resale offer. Yeah!

In the paperwork it says we need to have our signatures witnessed by someone. I confirmed that I don't need the papers notarized. Does it matter who signs as a witness?

I don't want to hold up the process any longer than necessary.

my understanding is that it just cant be a relative. i had a co-worker sign on mine and it all went through without a hitch.

In this case any adult can witness your signature - including a relative so long as that relative is not also a signatory on the excuting documents.

Thanks! I was going to have one of my parents sign it as I am not sure I am comfortable having a coworker sign. If I had to I would but not my first choice.
