Hi,

My family and I are leaving for HHI in one week. I have several crazy questions that will help with my packing/planning:

1. Will the resort offer kid-proofing items such as plug covers, or should I bring my own.
(we have a very curious 1 year old.)

2. Should I bring my own coffee, or do they provide those small packets on a daily basis. (We are not members, so I know we get daily housekeeping.)

3. Regarding bike rentals, will they have small bikes for my 5 year olds? What about helmets? Do they have infant bike seats that attatch to an adult bike so our 1 year old can go with us - or do they have the trailers? How much can I expect to pay for bike rentals.

4. How much do they charge for the child care center? I might like to put my 5 year olds and our 1 year old in the center for about two hours so my husband and I can take a tour or class (or go back to the room for a "nap" :) )

5. Is there a place nearby that I could get a simple manicure/pedicure.

Thanks to any answers you might provide!!

1) Better bring your own to be safe. I'm not aware of those being available at the resort.

2) You should get refills of the coffee packets with daily housekeeping.

3) Yes, they will have bikes and helmets for young children. Infant seats are also available- not sure about the trailer. You can rent the bike cheaply for the entire stay (I don't remember the cost). There are also local bike rental companies which are listed in the Island Packet (free info booklet you'll get at check in)- these will deliver and pick up.

4) While there are great children's programs, I'm not aware of a child care program on site. I'm sure the resort could direct you to a local facility or babysitting service.

5) Sorry- can't help there at all!! (But, I know the staff can direct you to those types of services.)

Have a great trip and enjoy the resort. For a real treat, ask about "A Private Affair"- a dining experience prepared in a GV by the resort chef for your family.

Enjoy!

Yes, they will have smaller bikes for your 5 year old -- even saw some with training wheels. Disney also rents bike trailers for the 1 year old. Only place we found which has the nice enclosed bike trailers. Other rentals were more of a bucket type.
