The dining plan includes a beverage, meal and dessert for one credit. We have an ADR at Ohana for breakfast. Do we miss out on that dessert credit? Just looking to get the most for my money:)

Yes, you will miss out on dessert since none is offered. There really is no "dessert" credit. You get a Table Service credit that can be used for any table service meal - breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Any breakfast, TS or QS, on the DDP forfeits the "dessert" credit. Breakfast is usually not the best value when using the DDP.

We always pay out of pocket for breakfast at Disney and save any buffet for dinner while on the DDP.

'Ohana is a fixed price meal and you will get whatever is offered on that fixed price meal...there's no "dessert credit" to be had. But even in restaurants that are a la carte, if you use credits for breakfast, you forfeit the dessert allotment because no desserts are offered with breakfast. (On the deluxe plan, you also forfeit the appetizer allotment.)

Used to be they would permit an additional beverage with breakfast to make up for the lost dessert - but they stopped that, in 2011 or 2012 I think.
