I feel silly for asking this because I feel the answer is probably obvious, but I'm wondering how crazy busy the parks will be on Saturday July 2nd? Which of the 2 parks would be better on that day? Will it be much different on Friday July 1st?

Thanks

I don't think it's a silly question. If it is, then this board is filled with 'em. ;)

But yeah, it will be very busy--no matter what park and no matter what day. Go with a plan and realistic expectations and you'll still probably manage to have fun.

We will be there at that time too. I have never been to any park on a Saturday, so this will be a first for us too. We are staying onsite, so waiting in lines shouldnt be too much of an issue.... except for Harry, and we plan on doing that at 8am .:)

Good plan!

And please, if you care at all about doing Ollivander's, I highly recommend doing that first--yes before FJ. The line for that will get long fast and it is a boring line. FJ's at least is interesting and can even be circumvented if you do the single-rider and castle tour queues. Ask a TM for help finding them if needed.

Anytime in July is going to be very busy and I have done June and July with July being the worse cause it is very crowded and very hot but it seems like that is the only time we are able to go and we are going later in july this year but offsite with the same results but you will be fine .

The ENTIRE MONTH will be supercrazybusy. As in the park might close due to being at capacity, everything is a 60-90+ minute wait, 3hr wait to get IN to WWOHP, busy.

We were there last year when Harry Potter opened , on that weekend and the next full week. I have never in my life seen anything like it. The line just to get into the Harry P. land was wrapped around almost to the hulk ride, and that was almost a daily occurance. We heard it was over a 3-4 hour wait, just to get in the land... not even on the forbidden journey ride.
I dont think it could possibly get any worse than that.

Yeah...last summer was insane but it shouldn't be quite that bad this summer...although it WILL be super busy at both parks.
