Silly question - where do we park?

We're driving to FL, so have use of our car. We have breakfast ADRs for our Epcot day, and I wondered if we're able to park in the Epcot lot and make our way to Flying Fish?

From there, could we just walk over to rope drop?

I've never been to Disney as an adult! Bigger people always had to make these decisions before. :rotfl:

Depending on your ADR time, this may be difficult as you would have to go thru Epcot to get to the Flying Fish and Epcot doesn't open until 9:00 am. If your ADRs are later than 9:00 am you will still need to go thru the World Showcase to get to the Boardwalk area. WS doesn't open until 11:00 but they may let you thru?

If you are staying onsite, I would just take a resort bus to the Studios, then walk to Flying Fish. You can do this without entering a park. If you are not staying onsite, you will most likely need to park at the Boardwalk Inn, then move the car to Epcot afterwards.

Maybe someone else has other ideas?

My ADRs are for 7:30 am. We are staying on site at PORS, but have our own vehicle, and have been trying to avoid the buses at all costs. (we figured driving would save time, and give us greater flexibility)

So, if I understand correctly - from the Epcot parking lot, theres no access to the boardwalk, except through the park thats not open yet?

That's correct - if Epcot isn't open, there is no way of getting from the Epcot parking lot to the boardwalk.

Personally, I would say your best bet would be to park at Boardwalk, go for breakfast then drive round to the Epcot parking lot after your meal.

I recommend parking at Boardwalk, have breakfast, and then walk into Epcot through the International Gateway. Just walk from Flying Fish towards Epcot and the Gateway entrance gets you into the World Showcase in the England area. Even though World Showcase won't be open, you can walk to Future World. We have always found it easier to park at Boardwalk especially if we are planning to eat in WS and we like walking through the BW area to see the entertainment and people watch. You can also catch the boat that will take you to the International Gateway. There is no time limit on staying parked at Boardwalk.

There is no time limit on staying parked at Boardwalk.

Really? I thought there was a 2 hour limit or something like that? However seeing that the Boardwalk is a recreational area, perhaps there isn't a limit like at Contemporary or Poly.

We have always parked at the Boardwalk. The guard asked if we were visiting and waved us through. No parking passes are given. From Epcot, we went to GF, and then to MK. From there, we bused back to POFQ, and then bused back to MK for EMH. At two in the morning we left MK and bused to Boardwalk to pick up our car.
At the Poly, we just drove in and parked - we entered in off the Osprey Ridge area. Don't know about the limit there, but we were only there for a couple of hours on our last morning.

Actually, according to AllEars there is no limit - although AllEars does state that visitors to the parks should not use resort parking.

However, without getting into the whys and wherefores of whether it should be done, I can confirm that there is no limit on parking at the Boardwalk.

Unlike the other resorts, the Boardwalk is also a public shopping, dining, and entertainment venue. If they had a three hour time limit, nobody would be able to enjoy a nice dinner, shopping, and then a night at Jellyrolls.

The question I have is......does Flying Fish really serve breakfast??? Since when?

Since Spoodles is closing, Flying Fish has taken over breakfasts on the boardwalk! I think the transition isn't very old.

Our trip is a rather last minute one, and getting early ADRs has been challenging - so this little known 'secret' has really worked in our advantage. Nobody seems to have a published menu, though - and no reviews, so we're really flying blind here!

I am thrilled with all the good news about the parking though! I had really wanted to eat and then just walk to the park, in order to get there as close to rope drop as possible. :)

Thanks everybody!
