Silly question: What does CRO call themselves?

There have been times over the last two years that I have asked when I called if they were CRO or Walt Disney Travel Co.
Everytime the person (from CRO) has asked, "What's CRO?" And I say "Central Reservations..."
And by then they say, Oh yeah. That's us.
So I am just curious. They must not refer to their area as CRO. What do they call what we consider to be CRO?

When they answer the phone, they say "Walt Disney World Reservations" as opposed to "Walt Disney Travel Company".

They may be known amongst themselves as Central Reseservations, but maybe they aren't familiar with the term "CRO".

Acronyms run rampant on the internet that have no bearing to real life. While we often use things like CRO, AP, PAP, etc, most CM's at Walt Disney World wouldn't have the faintest idea what you are talking about.

To answer your specific question, the overall operation is known as the Disney Reservations Center (DRC) and that is who each of the reservations CM's actually work for. Walt Disney Travel Company (WDTC) and the Central Reservations Office (CRO) come under the umbrella of the DRC.

I was corrected on one board when I called them CM's---they prefer to be called "agents". Was told "CM's" work in the parks.
