Silly question...Turkey Legs

LOL those are Turkey legs, if they where EMU those are some very short EMU's. I have eaten these for years. I do agree smoke is a different taste than you find at most fairs and festivals. But they are still very tasty.

And no they are not covered in the Disney Dining sorry guys.

And btw we have 13 EMU's.

Put this thread on right track, you do know those are Emu legs not Turkey. :rolleyes1

Thank you very much for the early morning giggle! I really needed it! :)

Love, love, love the turkey legs! Or the ham shanks, or the emu tendons...it's all good! My DD and I share one for lunch. We have gotten them in MK and DAK. They are greasy, I'll definitely give you that!

It's a good question about how they count on the meal plan. Does anyone know?

I don't know how anyone can eat these vile things. I highly recommend you share one first...even at that it may end up in the trash. I was SO looking forward to trying one of these, thinking I was going to get a taste of Thanksgiving...NO WAY! I felt like I was eating ham on a stick....I love ham, don't get me wrong. But when you are expecting a turkey taste and you get a ham flavor, that just doesn't work for me...I honestly do hope you enjoy it...many others do.

Good, thought I was the only one who thought these were kind of gross and hard to eat and yes, tendony..I know..not a word.

I was so looking forward to one of these and got one at MGM. I think I suffered through 4 or 5 bites, feeling guilty about the cost and feeling like I should like them after all the wonderful reviews. Then I thought, "Well, this is ridiculous that I am trying to eat this thing!" and I threw it in the trash.

My little 40lb DD (7) eats at least one a day when we are at Disney. We always go the MK our first night and while DH and DS (10) hit Space Mountain she and I enjoy our Turkey Legs. She has one in every park. I feel one a trip is fine with me. It's definately an acquired taste.

I thought they were going to be really good. We finally tried one in January. They were so greasy! I was really suprised how un-turkeylike they tasted.

I had one a couple weeks ago at MK. It was one of the things I was most looking forward to! Yes, people should know they taste like ham because they are smoked.....you do need plenty of napkins too.

My sister and I LOVE them but my son prefers turkey that tastes like turkey.
