If we do not get hopper tickets, can we still leave a park and return later that day to the same park? Its not hopping but i'm not sure how they handle that.

Hi!
You can return to the same park. They stamp your hand (or they used to), but I know you can go back to the same park later in the day. We had hoppers in October, but only used them once. So this August we're going again and not getting hoppers. I also didn't have hoppers in Oct. 2004 and we would leave the park for a break and then come back in the late afternoon or early evening. Have a great time!

I just read somewhere that disney is offering a free upgrade from magic your way to park hopper if you are traveling certain dates...if you call disney ask them directly. I know it is only for certain dates...we are going in may of 06 and it is offered at this time...I think you have to book by 3/30

Good luck

Yes you can leave the park and return later on in the day. I don't think they stamp your hand anymore though. Apparently they have some type of fingerprint test that tells them if you're the person who originally used the ticket or not.

Small point, but I just don't want anyone to get the wrong impression (because some people are paranoid about personal information, etc.). Disney doesn't fingerprint guests. The first time you use your ticket you place two fingers around some sort of little knob, and a measurement is taken of those two fingers, and some mathematical stuff is done and whammo you have a fairly unique identifier. You typically have to put that same hand into a scanner each time you use your ticket to enter a park. Tickets are non-transferable, and Disney hopes to enforce that rule. So if you have 2 days left on your non-expiration ticket you can't give it to your cousin Martha who's going to pass through Orlando in a few months.
