Silly question kind of. BEST way from Poly to MK for opening.

Just curious if you have or know any experience...the poly says transport to mk via monorail starts at 825....r u saying u can board and they'll stop at mk before 825 from the poly/resorts?

I have taken the poly to mk early in the morning, cannot tell you the specific time but i was in there around 8:30, the parking toll opened at 8:15 buy the tirne people park, walk over to temp and bag check its around 8:20-25, if the Express is running it might put you in mk maybe 5 minutes before the resort monorail.

Im honestly not sure what the confusion is. Who's reporting the monorail not stopping at mk?
Transportation starts as soon as the parking lot opens. So around 8:15 to 8:20.

I was at the Grand Floridian this weekend. Resort monorail begins at 7:00 between the resorts. Starting at 8 it also stops at the Mk. We got on two days around 8:15 for MK.

I assume the above poster was confused because the resort monorail apparently starts earlier and does not stop at MK initially. I was just answering the question you asked regarding, "Who's reporting the monorail not stopping at mk?"

It was confusing for us this AM as well. We opted to take the resort Monorail and were told it won’t stop at MK before 8:30(the quote was “even if it’s 8:29 it’ll go right by”.) The resort Monorail is running from 7am for breakfast reservations. So we hopped on the resort Monorail shortly after 8am, got off at the Contemporary, and walked the walkway up to MK. We were entering the gates at 8:30 (which is when select rides start operating for a 9am open). The “rope drop” is not happening currently, as they are letting guests in the park early and attractions won’t operate until opening. Not sure if this is a distancing effort or what, I’m a fan actually. I was able to complete 7DMT x2, Space Mountain x 2, Buzz x2, and carousel of progress by 9:30am, essentially walk on each time.

It was a bit of a process to Monorail to Contemporary then walk, but it was effective. And you could give yourself plenty of time. I haven’t tried the TTC option so I can’t compare but a lot of what I read is it starts at 8:15

You may want to check the Poly thread on the Resorts Board closer to your trip for the latest. While the boat was running (on a rather limited schedule) when I was there in July and there were reports of it through early August’ish, reports as late as last week on the Poly thread indicated the Poly boat was no longer running.

With GF opening 9/21, that may change things, but hard to say.

Things these days can vary from day to day/week to week, so keep options open depending on what you encounter on the ground.

nobody at the contemporary asked upon dismounting the monorail. In fact, for a pattern we saw was that nobody using WDW transportation got questioned when traveling anywhere on property.

We were at Poly last week. We got on the monorail about 8am. It didn’t stop at MK but by the time it circled the 2nd time it did. Getting on early allowed us to be the first stop at MK. When we passed the Poly many were not allowed on because the monorail was full.

Hmmm...it was not running at all during our entire trip 9/4-9/13. We asked and they said no and not once did we see any hint of boats running between Poly and MK... anyone who's actually had experience and been recently know if they're currently running?

We stayed at Poly in Sept. and went to multiple resorts to shop/eat/look around and we were never stopped or asked where we were going. As long as you arrive via Disney transportation...you should have no issue.

Not me, but multiple sources have reported it running using the former AK Riverboats, which are large enough to allow for social distancing.
