hi all,
so were going to the world in 14 days(but who's counting?)my family is coming with us,dw is thrilled :thumbsup2 ;) ,so my cousin who has been on just about every roller coaster, refuses to go on space mountain.she has been on areosmith im mgm and plans to go on EE(if they will let us)but refuses to go on space.she says cause you can't see the track lay out and she likes to see what she is going on,but rock and roller in mgm you can't see the track lay out either and it's partly in the dark too.how do i convince her to try space and convice her space is not that bad???i hate riding alone.i know that on space you don't sit next to each other, but i hate to just wait on line and ride alone.

if she can do RnRC then she can DEFINETLY do space moutain they dont even compare, no advice on how to convince her though, sorry.

no it is not silly!

i ride RnR

but i dont do space mtn...

you got a problem w/ that???

I've done them both many times for years. But this past trip was the first time I ever sat in the front of Space Mountain. OMGosh--what a ride!! I screamed my head off and when I wasn't screaming I was laughing hysterically. What a different ride in the front than in the back!!!

I hope she'll try it. I think she'd love it!

I ride everything. I'm a thrill ride junky. You can see parts of the track in space mountain depending on where you are and where you look. Its not totally dark in there (well most of the time) RNRC has lights on the side of the track if I remember correctly. You also go upside down and spin, don't you? Space mnt is easy compaired ot that (but I love them both) get her to try it once, and if she doesn't like it, tell her you won't make her ride anything else while you're there.

Tell her the height restricition is less for Space Mountain than RnRC and that's because Space Mountain is good for smaller children.

With that said, she should understand that the ride is pretty mild and she'll have no problem with it.

Good luck!!

:thumbsup2 good luck, I'm trying to convince my dd12 to go on it....I told her when grandma brought me she went on it....... she'll only go on goofy's barnstormer, over and over. she was only 10 on the last trip so I hope she comes around.....or she'll have to wait on her parents!!!!!! :furious: :rolleyes1 :surfweb:

I don't think Space goes faster than 28 MPH. I could be wrong about this, but it goes a lot slower than it feels because of the twists and turns. Maybe someone can jump in and confirm the top speed of Space--I know Dis'ers are great with Disney trivia.

Anyway, perhaps if she knows that it's a "slow" coaster, she'll ride it.

She can also take a peek at it from "the people mover" in Tomorrowland, though I don't know if that would help her or scare her.
