Silly DP Question

This is probably a silly question, but how do you know what you are allowed to order once you are at the restaurant? I have seen which restaurants are DP eligible but are all entrees just automatically included? Do you have to double check with the wait staff everytime? I have read that there is a Disney icon at some snack carts, is this correct? Thanks!

we used the ddp on our feb trip. they ask for your card when you sit down to verify what plan you're on. So, we had the regular ddp, so then they would say you are entitled to an entree, non alcoholic beverage, and dessert.

At 50's they offered us a shake or flavored coke as a drink as well.

At t-rex, the waitress did warn us that the large chocolate volcano type dessert did require 4 adult credits.

There aren't restrictions in regards to menu item...cheap burger vs. expensive steak, for example.

At mama melrose, we had the F! pkg..so we were able to get one of the apps for 2, and 2 other ones, since we had 4 in our party.

I hope that helps!

I can't think of any restaurant that excludes any of the entrees.

Most places will ask if you're on the dining plan, then explain what you're entitled to order. If there are any exclusions or exceptions the server will usually mention them or you can ask.

For example if you have the regular dining plan, they will tell you that you cannot order certain sushi selections at the Cali Grill. If you have the deluxe plan they treat it differently. At least that's what happened with us.

Just ask!:thumbsup2 The staff would rather you ask questions then get frustrated or disappointed. And it can get overwhelming sometimes if its busy or you're tired. I ended up tipping twice at every table service rest on our first visit once in cash and then i wrote the amount on the bill! DUMB! There are some restaurants that do have exceptions.
