Silly door question

We are staying at POFQ in October for a 40th birthday celebration. I wanted to do some door decorations. I looked on ETSY and all that I found were magnets for the Disney Cruise doors. I thought I read somewhere that resort doors are metal too. Can anyone confirm? Will magnetic door decorations work?

The doors at POFQ (and all moderates) are metal, so magnets will work.

In general, resorts with outside corridors have metal doors, resorts with indoor corridors have wood doors.

Make your own . Buy some magnets and glue whatever you want on it. I did this for our Disney cruises. Made Mickey and Minnie heads and glued them onto a magnet with our names on front. You can get really creative. Some people decorate their windows instead with stuffed toys, dolls and other unique items. Have fun.

Just be prepared for your magnets to grow legs and walk away if you put them on the outside of your door. Nobody took any of our magnets on our cruise, but we would come back and they would be rearranged or someone wrote on our white board. It's sad to say, but I've read on here and on FB about magnets on cruises being stolen. There is such a bigger amount of guests at the resorts that the likelihood of it happening increases.

I wouldn't decorate my resort room door. I had magnets go missing on cruises, so I know the temptation would be there.
I've put things in my window though. I do try to make sure the window is clean when I check out...don't want extra work for housekeeping.
