We are staying at the Yacht club and we know they don't have coffee makers in the rooms but we heard that you can ask to have one sent up??
If not we will get one of those $10 ones to have in our room. I know I'm in the happiest place on earth but God knows I still need my morning coffee!!

I've never asked for one myself so I'm not sure, but we have bought on for $10 - $12 at wal-mart before - that worked well.

I thought if I did not have room to take it home I would just leave it - but it fit in our luggage so now we have an extra at home.

Maybe others know about asking for one...

Everytime we have been we have just called mousekeeping or requested it at check-in and one has been sent up (free-of-charge)

Richard :)

I had no advice for you, but wanted to say that there is no such thing as a silly coffe question!!!

After all, in this house, coffee IS the sweet sweet nector of life!!! ::yes:: :hyper:

If having a coffee maker in your room at a resort where this is not standard is really important, I would DEFINITELY take it along myself.

You MAY be able to request one from housekeeping. But then they may not have any available for you.

You'll want to take your own supplies also (coffee, filters, creamer, sugar...) Even if housekeeping sends up a coffeemaker, your Mousekeeper probably won't be set up to replenish your supplies each day since this wouldn't be part of the normal room upkeep. And they might not have coffee cups.

I was at the YC in December. I packed my 4 cup coffeemaker, a small tupperware container with my favorite Starbucks Colombian coffee that I ground at home, and a little ziploc bag with creamer and sugar packets. It didn't take much space in the suitcase, and I was prepared to leave the cheap coffeemaker behind if I ran out of room on the way home.

It was HEAVEN to be able to reach over and flip the coffeemaker on in the mornings, and wake up to the aroma of good coffee.

I bought nice coffee mugs at the parks (I have tons of these at home- my favorite souvenirs!) and we were all set.

I just wouldn't count on the resort supplying the coffee maker and accessories if it's not a standard part of their room setup.
