Bring a small travel size deodorant for your feet. When you get ready in the morning, give a good swipe and make sure to hit your toes. :)
My husband thought I was silly and didn't do it. My son and I had no blisters all week but guess what the husband had to deal with? Yup, big and bag ones too.

Interesting! I had *never* heard this tip before and I'm really intrigued now. The deodorant really kept away the blisters, huh? I'm going to have to try it out now. Anything to keep away blisters is worth trying.

Thanks! :cool1:

I've sprayed mine with deoderant before just to cut down on the smell and sweat, but never thought about solids for blister prevention. Thanks for the tip :thumbsup2

Yes, I've heard of this too. It prevents friction. Anything that prevents friction will prevent blisters and even chafing too.

I use Bodyglide and Blistershield which do the same thing but are made specifically for avoiding blisters and chafing. I use Bodyglide on my feet and Blistershield between my legs.

Another thing that works, vaciline.

Avon also has an anti-blister balm. Peppermint smell too which is great on feet!

I use what ever I have or what I can find in the $1 isle at walmart or target. Usually secret. It works great! And again, yes it sounds silly. It is also much neater than using powder which is what I used to use.

!

So this works if you have 'bigger' legs and want to wear a skirt in the summer without the rash? Or why do you use it between your legs?

It prevents chafing that some get between their legs...the rubbing of one leg on the other leg or even rubbing on the shorts. Would work with a skirt as well.

Lots of people get chafing at WDW due to the heat and sweating, friction. Some even get chafing on their under arms.

Thanks, I'll have to try that. We normally use powder. I also carry Bandaids for Blisters made by Bandaid brand. Well worth the extra money!

I'm defiantly going to try that the next time. I am always in pain with blisters by the second day. I've tried a lot of different things. I even get blisters walking on the treadmil. I'll be prepared the next time.

Thanks for the tip! My dd is prone to getting blisters. Last year, moleskins prevented her from getting blisters but, I'll try the deoderant in addition to moleskins.

My DH uses a spray Antiperspirant/Deodorant on his feet. I think its the anti-perspirant that keeps the feet dry and prevents the blisters.
He used to suffer from blisters all the time before finding out about spraying his feet. He has had such success with spraying that my whole family has started spraying even before putting sandals on also.

Since we are on deodorant talk, works great for bites too! Ever find yourself at disney with a mosquito or bug bite, just put deodorant on it. Takes out the itch!

After hearing about this tip for so long on the boards, I finally decided to try it. No one ever said what brand to use, so I just bought a cheap small can of Dial anti-perspirant and DH and I used it(DD's wore flip flops alot of the time) and it worked like a charm. It was the first time we had no blisters!
