They are big here too. I bought my DS10 two packs for an awesome report card a few weeks ago. I found them in the local Hallmark store, although AC Moore, Five Below, Walgreens, and CVS all carry them (but were SOLD OUT!)

There are a couple of different brands floating around out there...Hallmark had the Silly Bandz and another brand. I bought one of each. The "other" brand had a package of dogs, one of which was a Corgi, so I had to buy them!

ETA: I only wish I had invented these things!! Someone is making a killing!!

Yes, but it is not emo hair. That is so 20th Century. Get with the latest trends. Scene is totally different from EMO. Scene kids are popular kids.

Major fad here. My 9 yr old has lots of them. We found some New Orleans Saints ones at CVS, We also got some at Justice.

Aack...I hate them. They are all over our house, and i keep finding them in his pockets when I do the laundry. Younger DS keeps stretching them and breaking them. I hope this is a fad that ends soon, lol.

My DH found them at Walgreens for about $2-ish...

My kids just got home with a note from the principal stating that silly bands are no longer allowed in school due to distraction in the class and flinging on the bus. Can't say I'm all that surprised

They are still pretty popular here, but the big "have to have them and they are hard to find" wave has passed. We can get them at Walgreens, CVS, Justice, and little local stores. We got the more rare pacs on Amazon. DD still likes them, but hasn't brought pacs to school to trade for a few months now.

I'm telling you--these things are hot!

I had an hour to kill while the kids were at their piano lesson. I walked to 7-11 to buy the Bandz and they didn't have any. The guy said that he heard Ace Hardware sold them.

Ace is right across the street from 7-11 and I still had 50 minutes to kill, so I checked it out. No luck. In the same shopping center as Ace there is a Hallmark and a Rite Aid. No luck there, either. The woman at Hallmark said they sold out 2 days ago, as soon as the bracelets hit the shelf. She said they ordered more, but she doesn't know when they'd be shipped.

I picked up the kids from piano lessons and we stopped at the Walgreens on the way to the library. No luck.

Very close to the library is a specialty candy store that sells trendy things. No luck.

On the way home, we stopped at CVS. The woman there said they don't sell them and that she called about 20 places trying to buy them for her dd and right now everywhere is sold out of the bracelets.

It sounds like I ran all over creation, but all of the above were within 4-5 miles of home and I was either killing time or driving past those places anyway, so no car gas was wasted in the telling of this story. We stopped at 7 places for the Bandz!

I might order from Amazon, but to get the free shipping I'll have to order something else with it.

I just ordered a set from Silly Bandz. It's 24 bracelets, which should be plenty for dd to trade with friends, for $4.95 plus $2.xx shipping. That's probably the same, if not less, than what I'd spend at a local store for that many bracelets if/when they get back in stock.

My DD13 loves them She likes to trade them with her friends at school. We found them on Ebay. They weren't expensive and the shipping was free

Becare*** because if you bring them to school teachers would take them away and ban them! This has already happend to about 500 school districs in the us! About the size of TEXAS!

I've never even heard of them . I clicked on the link. What do you do with them? They look really uncomfortable if they are bracelets .
