Silly ? about refillable cups

I know this is probably a very silly question, but what the heck. I have 2 refill cups from IOA (the ones with the Marvel superheros top). Now, am I required to have that bulky top on the cup for them to give me the discounted price?

not at all. we have cups that are 3 years old and have no problems. we mistakenly grabbed UO cups on the way to the other parks and have had them filled at seaworld and busch gardens.
