I don't know about you all, but when I get to DW, I seem to want EVERYTHING with Disney characters on it. I'm talking about lamps, rugs, curtains, handbags ... stuff I wouldn't be interested in at home, as much as I love the Mouse! What crazy Disney purchases have you made while visiting?

I bought a dish set with bowls, plates and even glasses. We still use them though

You mean this week? :rotfl2:
Last Saturday we bought the coolest ears for St Patrick's Day.
Green mouse ears hat with a little, green Irish bowler that sits between the ears. :woohoo:

a very small dangling stitch. My DH did hang him in the van window though.

Buy something silly at Disney World? Never! :teeth: I love all my purchases! I guess the silliest thing I got was a marrionette (sp?) for my daughter in Mexico, EPCOT. :p

My Pal Mickey!! We could hardly hear the guy and he hardly had anything of real interest to say. Maybe we just got a dud because I can't figure out why people love him so much! Ours is in the garage.
Lucy's Mom

I have to agree with the Pal Mickey! My DD saved all her b-day money to buy it, and was very sorry after!! We did not find it to be worth the money. Live and Learn, right?!

Last August my daughter wanted to by something so bad on our first day we told her after hours of begging that she could use her money to buy anything she wanted at the ten dollar store in DD. What did she chose-A bag full of polished rocks!!! She spent ten dollars to buy not only a little bag for her but for her little brother as well. Guess we should have gave in when she wanted the t-shirt from earlier. Lesson learned. :rotfl2:

I bought one of those dinosaurs from Dinoland in AK. It's that weird soft foam material. I said I bought it for my son but no... it was for me, lol! He had a fun time on the drive home from Orlando though... can share pics if anyone is interested.

The birthday cake hat with the light up candles--it is now a family tradition to wear it on your birthday. :cake: I also bought the birthday cake hat for my dogs in tiny dog size--too cute

on our last trip i bought 2 of the red bandanas for my dogs! they say "my human went to walt disney world and all i got was this lousy bandana". i have the 2 most spoiled dogs ever! (chocolate labs), and i couldn't bare to not bring them something! :teeth:

I guess for us one of the things that we bought that later when we got home and I was all " What were we thinking!" was the bride and groom ears on our honeymoon. They never fit DH head and he wore them for about 10 minutes.

Oh well, we still had a good time and the Ears are in our wedding box with all our other memento's.

A 9 dollar spray bottle.... hahahah I had to buy something I was THIS {_} close to passing out in august watching the parade....

When my DS was like 5 he wanted the BIGGEST, GIANT, LARGEST Genie with a bottle and HAD to have the Genie and was carrying on so about the Genie, that everyone in our group said "get the d#@*mn genie for the kid"...WELL GUESS WHO ENDED UP CARRYING THIS GENIE AROUND ALL DAY :furious: ........ugh...!!!!

We still talk about the genie. He did NOT fit in that bottle all that well.

We got one for our yellow lab on our last trip. Also got a Yankee princess bandana. Geez, we went all the way to Disney World and bought the dog something we could have gotten here probably a lot cheaper. Oh well. Now that I think about it I have no idea where either of them are. :confused3 Oops.

The silliest thing? Had to be the invisible dog :lmao: I bought it on Main Street at the joke shop that's no longer there. It's just a leash that looks like there should be a dog inside it. Well, a man came down the street and "pretended" that his invisible dog and my invisible dog were fighting. He was tugging at his to keep away from mine. He made his dog chase mine around the lamppost, complete with sound effects. I couldn't stop laughing! In fact, every one on the street was laughing! I'd love to meet that guy again; he was hysterical. :goodvibes

This is not really silly, but I can't believe I spent the money on it - a roll of film for $10 at MGM! We were right in the middle of character autographs and ran out of film. Of course, I had not packed enough film that day. Never again will that happen! Have loved everything else we have ever gotten!

We bought the same bandanas for our two shih-tzus. However, the next year we went all out! We bought them a little princess hat and little minnie ears, TOO CUTE!! :goodvibes (but they don't feel the same way, surprise surprise :rotfl2: )

I stupidest thing I ever bought at WDW was a light-up sorcerer's hat, :lmao: .
Like I am really going to wear here at home or to our next outting, :lmao: . I do like it though. It is hanging up in my room.

On one trip my kids begged for the invisible dogs. LOL they walked all around the MK with those silly dogs.
Kathy

I bought dog breath mints for my dog, at some shop in Epcot...we got her some dog bones too....she really liked both things!
