Can someone point me in the right direction of a tutorial for what I want to do? I got a Silhouette but I'd like to be able to cut Disney images like Cricut has. I guess I have to make them myself? I tried tracing in the Silhouette software but the lines weren't coming out the way I wanted them (curving when I wanted sharper angles, for one). I'm competent with Photoshop and like that magnetic lasso tool, but I don't know how to get that to work with the Silhouette.

Any great tutorials or videos that you can point me to? And if anyone knows where to get Disney images to use with the Silhouette, I'd love to hear about that, too. :)

Thanks!

There is a Wishblade Yahoo group that also has Silhouette users. I believe someone just posted some Silhouette tutorials.

Just be aware that you cannot ask for or share any Disney files on the group. Because Disney files are copyrighted, Yahoo can shut down the group. But the tutorial may help you be able to do what you need to do.

I also remember someone who sold Disney cutting files and thought I saved it, but can't seem to find it. I think it was a blog. Try doing some searching through google for disney gsd files. If I find the site I mentioned, I'll post it.

you may want to look at using SCAL or MTC with your Silhoutte.

Then you can utilize the awesome SVG's that dis user Reddy has posted on her blog.

There are A LOT of free SVG's out there on the web.

Check out SVGcuts.com

Also check out http://underacherrytree.blogspot.com/ as she shows you how to use your Sil with MTC and letteringdelight svg or images.
