I can't figure out how to sign up for Thrifty's Blue Chip program. Online it tells me to add my number, but I don't HAVE a number, and can't seem to find any way/site to sign up. Suggestions?

If it's not obvious how to join online, I'd probably give their customer service a call and ask. I've been a member so long, I forget how it was done. But it could be worth the effort, depending how much you rent. It's especially nice at the select airports where you can go from baggage claim right to a car......

Thrifty is no longer accepting new members into it's Blue Chip program. Speculation is that they are going to completely revamp the program. Being a Blue Chip member no longer offers any useful things at MCO, everyone has to stand in line at the counter.

Wow, how did I miss that info before? That would change my priority a bit for renting with Thrifty if they do away with that option. Thanks for sharing. Can't just go right to the car at MCO any more?

Also, at least at MCO, there is no longer an advantage for current Thrifty Blue Chip members to skip the terminal checkin and use the garage booths. Thrifty/Dollar are no longer staffing those booths for easier pickup. Your best bet to skip the terminal line madness (and it can be LONG) is to use another company like Alamo as their skip the line service DOES work and you can pick up directly at the garage.
