Ok, so after looking at the POTD thread (great pics !!), everyone seems to have different things that happened about signing the licence???

In the UK signing the licence is a pretty significant part of the ceremony. People take lots of photos during it. The bride, groom, best man and maid of honour sign it, think the rev does aswell. Sometimes people choose a song to play during this part aswell.

So what happens at Disney? Is this not a standard part of the ceremony as it is here in the UK??

If it is not then I think we would still like to have this included in our ceremony, do think this would be possible??

Also, what name do you sign it in?? You maiden name? Or is it the case that you sign it in your maiden name to apply for the licence and then sign it again in your married name once your married??

Hope this makes some sort of sense :rotfl:

we both signed the license at the court house and then rev jack day asked us on the rehearsal if we wanted witnesses to sign it. we said yes and these were both done before the ceremony.

Nothing as special as it is here just a a4 piece of paper is all we got

we only signed it once when we applied for the license and its in my maiden name

Hi Sarah,

Did you just sign it once then? in your maiden name at the courthouse?

I think we will try and include it in our ceremony just as we will with a reading and the sand.

Maybe we can just pretend to sign it when our witnessess do ;)

yes once at the courthouse in maiden name

Jack day had ours signed before the ceremony and we didnt see them sign it as I was in the brides room and dh was id grooms room.

We then asked for the license so we could take it back to the courthouse to get it all registered and get the certified copies

Do you know what the procedure is for registering it here??
