Significance of Crowns on Castle?

I'm getting ready to do my scrapbook pages of the 50th celebration and know there is significance of the crowns currently adorning the castle. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good explanation for each one?

There is one for each decade. According to a post at Mouseplanet they are:1st decade- Mickey Mouse represents opening day (1955-65)
2nd decade- Tomorrowland with rockets (65-75)
3rd decade- Electrical Parade and the blue fairy (75-85)
4th decade- Indiana Jones with snakes (85-95- Indy opened in 95)
5th decade- Tinkerbell for the golden anniversary (95-05)
