Jiko - it's an appetizer, but I LOVE the Ostrich dish with kamut and truffle vinaigrette.

Cali Grill - If they have Ostrich, get it! And for an app, if they have a risotto with goat cheese and meyer lemon, GET IT! I've tried it with shrimp once and lobster another time. I liked the shrimp best, but both were amazing!

Flying Fish - The steak is amazing! And the truffle fries are to die for!

We are going to several of our favorite restaurants for dinner again and I always end up ordering the same things. I just can't seem to break away from the things I love. This trip we are going to most of our favorites TWICE!!! This means I can have my cake and try another kind too!

So here is where I need the help. I will tell you where we are going and my favorites and you please recommend something else you think I would like. I like just about everything except I am not a fan of salmon. With that being said, let the recommendations begin!!!!

Narcoossee's - I always order the lobster tail and crab cake appy

Jiko - I always order the Kenyan braised short ribs and love them!

California Grill - I have ordered the sushi and love it and the pork entree.

Hollywood Brown Derby - Cobb salad, Grouper and crab cake appy

Flying Fish - The yummy snapper and usually the calamari appy

At Narcoossee's I love the bisque soup for appetizer.

Jiko I love the maize crusted fish (last time was wreckfish). Instead of the root veggies I sub in the mac & cheese

Haven't been to CG yet (going in 2 days!) or HBD

At FF I have had the same as you. I am going back in November so maybe I will try something different as well

At CG, try the ostrich entree. It is amazing! The rock shrimp salad my DH had as his appetizer was quite good too, but not enough to lure me away from the sushi menu.

At Jiko, the ostrich was the best app of the evening, followed closely by the BBQ flatbread. The filet with mac & cheese gets rave reviews but the pairing just didn't do anything for me, so I'll be back to the drawing board for entrees on our next visit.

I always order the crab cake at Narcoosees too, but I'm not a fan of lobster so I've branched out on entrees. The ahi tuna is quite good, as is the shrimp.

I always mean to try the cheese plate at one of the signatures, but there always seems to be something else calling my name when it actually comes time to order.

I was not a fan of the filet and mac either. It just didn't do much for me. After ordering the ribs, I wouldn't consider anything else. Now that its off the menu, I am forced to try something else.

We had the cheese plate at Narcoossees once and it was excellent. I can't remember what cheeses were on it, but they were all tasty.

My DH loves Ostrich, so I am sure this will be on his list. Truffle fries? mmmm sounds good

I am seriously considering the fish at Jiko since the ribs are gone. It looks really good.

Your going to really love CG! I agree with the scallops if they are on the menu and of course if you are a sushi lover, it appears we can all agree that the Spicy Kazan roll is the winner!

Narcoossee's - the lobster was good - my DH had it, I've gotten a fish dish (don't see it on the menu anymore) but it was very good, wasn't impressed with the apps. Another time I got a fish/pasta dish, that was good.

Jiko - the mussel app was so good, I agree the short ribs were very good, didn't like the steak with the mac & cheese at all - steak was tough and had no taste. DH got the bbq flatbread, it wasn't good

California Grill - flat breads are very very very good, cali roll is good, i love their fish with stir fry veggies and rice, get it every time. DH had a fish with risotto (I also don't see it on the menu. He got the steak once and it was horrible.

Hollywood Brown Derby - the tortelini app was incredible, I had a roasted chicken because I was in the mood for that, it was good but nothing special. DH had the steak and it was very good.

Flying Fish - never went, we will try this Nov though.

California Grill - I have ordered the sushi and love it and the pork entree. Not to be repetitious but the filet was amazing, just wish we had them put the teriyaki sauce on the side because it was too strong. I had the lobster risotto as an appie and it was very rich but very very tasty!

Flying Fish - The yummy snapper and usually the calamari appy DH always orders the NY Strip, it is to die for but I have changed it up a few times from the delish snapper and have had the scallops and the laughing bird shrimp dish and both were sooo good I could not stop eating! For appies we have had the heirloom tomatoes three times, soooo fresh! Once I had the soup of the day that was incredible.

I didn't see the risotto on the menu either. I hope they didn't take that off to!!!

Have you ever had the Teriyaki steak from Kona? It is very good too.
