Signature restaurants and paying OOP?

Quick question. Currently have FF Cafe booked. We are a party of 4, 2 adults, 2 children. Can we go and only use only 2 adult TS and 2 child TS credits, by letting both my husband and 7 year old use their TS credits, while my 4 yr old DD (who will most likely order only the grilled cheese there) and myself pay OOP for our meals? It seems to me this may work out really great for us if we are allowed to do this.

This would allow us to save 2 adult TS and 2 child TS for another entire meal. I would love to fit in another character meal which I was going to pay OOP for and let the DDP pay for it.

Has anyone done this recently? And is it frowned upon to do it?

Yes you can do it, but let the server know so that can adjust the bills accordingly before they are printed.
