Signature Restaurant Question

We will be on the regular Dining Plan not the Deluxe Plan. My question is if we go to a Signature Restaurant like Yachtsman where they charge 2 TS credits, will we get appetizers too or is it still just entree, beverage and dessert? I would hope for 2 TS they would throw in some appetizers! Just wondering!

Nope...2 credits on the regular plan still gets you entree, dessert and beverage ONLY....Sorry!

We find that when on the regular DDP, 2 TS credit meals are not worth it for the fact that we still end up paying for a good amount of our meal OOP. If you figure that eat TS meal on the DDP is worth roughly between $30-$35, that means if you use your TS credits on a signature thats between $60-$70, which does not include appitizers, sides, and if you are like us either cocktails or wine. You end up spending almost $70 in TS credits per person along with another $60-$70 OOP on top of that. So, if you break it down, you almost end up spending $210 on a meal that may really only cost $150-$175 (these numbers are based on a party of 2). The only meal on property I can justify using 2 TS credits on is Hoop-Dee-Doo Review. That's just my opinion.

I have done the HDDR on just about every trip since I was a kid. The food is pretty good and the show is a lot of fun (I think of the credits as 1 credit goes towards the meal and the other credit goes towards the show, both of which deserve the credit and so would be worth 2 TS credits).

If you can budget it, if you are looking for an adults only night, depending on the age of any kids, might I suggest placing any kids into any of the babysitting programs that the deluxe resorts have and go to a nice signature meal with just the adults. There are some great options for a nice quiet night sans kiddos. No one says adults can't pamper themselves a little while at Disney.
