Hi Everyone,
My Fiance and I are thinking about doing a "signature drink" at our reception. Has anyone done this before? We were wondering about what kinds of drinks people have come up with. We wanted something fruity and fun, like a strawberry daiquore but we know that might be hard in large volume. Our ideas were, that instead of doing champagne for the toast (which we both don't like) we would have a signature drink made for our special toast. Any one have any info on the drinks that can be made or pricing? Thanks again!

Im sorry, i don't have any information on that, but we were wanting to do the same thing. There was a Disney FTW show on the Food Network a while back, and a couple on there had a customized drink! It was very nice looking as it went along with their themed color!

I think the signature drinks are fairly common. At least, I've heard of them many times before. We didn't have drinks created for us, but this is certainly an option. We had our reception at 2pm. We had a BOC Beer/wine bar and added two signature drinks to help keep costs down vs. a full bar. Our signature cocktails were a Mojito (my favorite drink) and rum/cokes (DH's favorite drink). You can have whatever you want though. Talk with your WP for options and pricing information because I think pricing depends on what drink you have. :sunny:

Hey-

We had a friend who did "Sealed With a Kiss". I Googled it and it came up a few times. I bet if you run a Google sarch for wedding cocktails, etc. it would come up.

Try here for starters

We wanted to do this, but ended up not due to budgeting. Wolfgang Puck's has a drink called Endless Summer...very very good. I wanted to use that and just call it either Endless Love or Passion...

were doing a signature drink nicknamed after my fiances last name, its a blue lagoon at our cocktail hour.

i found the recipe on drinkalizer.com

One of my favorites is the Kir Royale. It is champagne and rasberry liquour...it;s like champagne but a bit sweeter and fruitier and has a pinkish color. You don't have to call it a Kir Royale...you can have them make the drink, put it on the bar and put as card in front that says "blank and blank's happily ever after" or whatever! the price for drinks like this at Disney run $7.00-$9.00 depending on the drink and are billed on consumption (ie: not in the package). And yes I believe they can do frozen drinks in mass volume without a problem!

try webtender.com they have a whole list of cocktails and you can pick the ingredients you like and name it yourself

We were the couple featured on the Food Network Show. We told Disney we wanted a signature drink for our toast to match our orange color scheme. They came up with a few suggestions, and the one we chose had vodka, orange curacao liqueur and Sprite. They called it the "Connors Love Potion." This was not served at the bar, only for the toast - and it looked very pretty on the tables. Here's a pic:

wow - we have a celebrity! Very Pretty!
Pixie 08 is correct about the prices only I was told $7-8 per drink. The based on consumption makes me nervous....I am trying to decide what to do. I thought about a pina coloda, which is my favorite drink...we just returned from a weekend in Phoenix and they dip the glass in honey and then in toasted coconut, Yum, do you think they cab do that at Disney?
