anyone do this? what did you do? how much did it cost? can i just do something like a cosmo, or appletini or margarita?

I thought I'd do Pina Coladas & Midori Sours for mine :thumbsup2 That is, you know, once I'm engaged and planning my wedding for real. And DB insists that he will have "the most awesome open bar ever!" when he gets married.

(I was MOH at my best friend's wedding and he came along - there was NO alcohol at all - boy was he not happy about that...) :lmao:

my df OWNS a bar, so there was no way i couldn't have one, not that that's what i wanted anyways...it's just something we do all the time, so i didn't give much thought to it until my dad was harping on having a toast and i was like, "uh, we don't have anything to toast with..."

Aha! Now I remember I read that about your DF on some other post! :)

I know champagne is traditional for toasting, but you can do whatever you want! Is anything really traditional in weddings anymore? :rolleyes1 It's all about your personality (especially with DF owning a bar) - so if you're more of a margarita/martini gal, I say go for it! Plus those things come in like a million colors/flavors, right? So you could always make the drink match the color theme of the wedding pirate:

(Or stick little umbrellas in... lol).

If you pick a drink that includes only ingredients from the bar it isn't any extra charge. We had Sea Breezes as ours (not so original, but everyone thought it was cute with the SBP ceremony). If the ingredients don't come from the package list you will have to pay extra.

we had a custome drink. it was a cute touch and the guests loved it.

we could choose what we wanted and it was way cheaper and yummier then champagne.

they can add what ever you want led lights, sugar rims, swizzle sticks. be creative.

i had i think it was a baybreez and they put sugar pink rims on it so yummy.

here are some pics

i think it was .... 300 for 100 people and 200 somthing for the rims but it i am sure you can make it cheaper
