Signature Dining Options

Jiko v.s. Artist Point v.s. Yachtsmans Steakhouse v.s. Brown Derby...

Discuss. popcorn::popcorn::

Moneywise, the Brown Derby is the cheapest and hardest to make your 2TS worth it.

Jiko and Artist Point have a little more "off the beaten path" items.

But, gotta love a good steak and Yachtsman would be my choice for steak if that's what you want.

Of these four, we love the first three. Never been impressed with BD. To me it seems to rely on the Hollywood atmosphere more than the quality of the food or the service.

The other three are wonderful from our perspective.

After trying both, I'd drop AP for Citrico's, and BD for Flying Fish.

So from the sounds of it, of the 4 drop Brown Derby at the very least? That's the one I was most iffy about. Now to narrow down the other 3, *sigh*

My choice would be the Yachtsman Steakhouse. The worst of the bunch would be Brown Derby. Last month 3 (filets) out of 6 meals were inedible and the other 3 were just okay.

For what it's worth, in my opinion the "signature" designation is simply a marketing ploy to promote what used to be good restaurants prior to the designation. While a few are still holding their own, many are disappointing.

Of the one's listed, if you have to narrow it down to one, I'd vote for Jiko. As a PP said: a little more 'off the beaten track' with its menu and wine cellar.

But my favourite by far is still Citricos.
